Pat and Carol Williams have forever changed our state by championing public lands, equal rights, affordable health care, and so much more during their careers in public service. Forward Montana Foundation honors the ripple effect that Pat and Carol Williams have had on Montana by recognizing the good work of young leaders and providing them more opportunities to learn, grow, and exchange ideas. That’s why Forward Montana Foundation is hosting the Williams’ Effect 4th Annual 25 under 25 ceremony and the second annual Montana Youth Organizing Summit.

Our generation is already revolutionizing Montana here and now; we are innovators and students, entrepreneurs and workers, volunteers and movement builders. But to build a Montana that’s worthy of our big sky, young Montanans need opportunities to grow and be recognized as changemakers, movement builders, and civic leaders.

The Montana Youth Organizing Summit

Saturday, September 15 - Sunday, September 16 | Helena, MT

The Montana Youth Organizing Summit will bring young Montanans together from all corners of the state to build power, expand skillsets and grow networks. We plan to harness Montana’s long tradition of progress by hosting workshops led by Montana’s best community organizers, political professionals, and policymakers.

The 25 under 25 Ceremony

25 Montanans under the age of 25 will be honored at our 3rd annual Williams Effect: 25 Under 25 event. Awardees are selected from a diverse pool of candidates from across the state, based on their use of art, activism, science, or entrepreneurship to create real and positive change in their respective communities. They are leaders who are challenging the status quo, taking risks, and breaking new ground in Montana.
