Kaitlin Kolka is the 21 year old daughter of Robin & Tom Nansel of Colstrip, MT, and Dean & Jill Kolka of Broadus, MT. Kaitlin graduated with highest honors from Colstrip High School in 2013. Kaitlin was the only Montana student to be named a National Coca-Cola Scholar. Kaitlin was raised on a ranch and was active in the Colstrip FFA Chapter, National Honor Society, sports, clubs and High School Rodeo. She served as the 2012-2013 Montana State High School Rodeo Queen, finishing 7th overall at the National High School Rodeo Queen Contest. Kaitlin is currently going into her senior year at Montana State University, where she is majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Coaching. Kaitlin plans to obtain a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. During the summer Kaitlin works for the Chief Dull Knife Extension Office on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Lame Deer, MT, where she promotes health education and development through various youth programs including day camps, gardening, basketball camps, youth rodeos, etc. During the school year Kaitlin has volunteered at Eagle Mount, serves as a youth group leader at Connect Church, and works for Montana State University Residence Life as an Assistant Resident Director. Kaitlin received MSU President Cruzado’s Pure Gold Award in 2015, and was honored to be named Advisor of the Year for 2015-2016. Kaitlin is excited to again return to MSU as an Assistant Resident Director for the 2016-2017 school year.
