Ian Powell-Palm was born and raised just outside of Bozeman, Montana. He’s been interested and more or less involved in local politics in Montana all my life. Ian knocked doors for Obama in 2008, made calls for Senator Tester's second term in 2012, and worked for the campaigns of both Governor Bullock and Denise Juneau in 2016. Most recently, he worked as the Rural Outreach Coordinator alongside his partner, Dan West, for the Quist campaign. Together this team reached out to rural communities all across Eastern Montana, engaging with voters all across the political spectrum in areas heavily dominated by Republican influence. He intends to pursue a career in journalism and creative writing. Over this past year, he’s had numerous articles published in the political blog, “Montana Cowgirl” and he intends to continue contributing to journalistic entities in Montana over the coming years. He'll be attending college this fall for creative writing and journalism at St. Olaf college in Minnesota.
