Korbin was born and raised in Missoula and has lived in the Bonner area for almost his entire life. Korbin attended Bonner School K-8, Hellgate High School and is now attending the University of Montana and studying political science with hopes of attending law school in the future. After interning for Forward Montana his freshman year of college, he ran for a seat on the Missoula County Public Schools Board of Trustees against a 22-year incumbent. After losing in a close three-way race in May of 2015, Korbin was appointed to the seat in September. That fall he helped pass some of the largest bonds in history that will lead to massive renovations for all of the schools in Missoula. As a trustee, Korbin's focus has been on improving mental health in the district and pushing for equal access to programs.
